The Court of Thorns and Wings brings even more to the world of Ardanos. The Fated to Darkness series is about Tavish’s desire for revenge and how he can use Lira to enact it.

At the end of The King of Frost and Shadows, Lira’s heart stopped. The Court of Thorns and Wings starts with Tavish’s heartbreak. Figuring out how Lira comes back to life, the betrayal of Eldrin, and how Lira’s parents decide to steal her back to Gleann Solis. It is a wonderful story that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

HEADS UP, I do have spoilers.

Another win for Jen. I really do enjoy Jen’s writing. I received this as an Advanced Reading Copy as well!  I struggled to put it down so I could go to sleep. Lira’s powers begin to show themselves, like her healing. That healing is what brings her back to life. Tavish accepts that Lira is his fated mate. He will not let her go and won’t let her kingdom treat her horribly. Even at the beginning of this book, Tavish’s people begin to question his loyalty to his people since Lira is Seelie. Within a couple of chapters, Lira is stolen back to Gleann Solis and Tavish is almost killed. While in Gleann Solis, Lira sees her biological parents as well as her whole family from Earth. She is thrilled to see her Mom and Dad (her parents on Earth) as well as her sister. Her memories still seep in. She also ends up meeting her betrothed dragon prince. Lira is not impressed and repeatedly told them she will not marry him. Tavish is healed but while trying to bring Lira back, he is captured and beaten in Caisteal Solais. I won’t go further but it is fast-paced and has wonderful twists and turns.

I can’t recommend this series enough.

I rate this 4 outta 5 coffee cups!

I really enjoyed how your blog review of Dark Royalty, Fated Mates and a Desire for Revenge dove into the twists of Tavish and Lira’s story and kept me picturing those dramatic moments right alongside you. When I was crammed for time writing about a book tradition in class I even used assignment help for Higher Chemistry students once to get my thoughts in order because I struggled to connect plot details smoothly. It made me think that having support when you are stuck can help you share your real excitement about a story more clearly.
