Hi Friends!

I know I am behind. Life has been crazy since September. We moved and have been overwhelmed with boxes. I am at the coffee shop to get something done.

Faint Hearted by Leia Stone and Julie Hall is the second in their Cursed Fae series. Faint Hearted starts with Dawn’s mom from Cold Hearted working with Aribella, from the Fall Court. Queen Liliana is harsh on Aribella with her training. Aribella’s hidden talent is her ability to manipulate moods. Talk about an insane amount of power with that talent. Aribella heard some distressing news and it caused her to pass out. Once that secret came out, that she could pass out easily, Liliana decided not to have Aribella try to kill an Ethereum lord. She abandoned her to the next Court. Aribella decided to prove everyone wrong and went anyway. She meets the angriest of Ethereum lords and they go on escapades to save Faerie and Fall Courts.

I love Leia and Julie. The way they write together on these books is seamless. I like how Aribella and Stryker are, in my opinion, opposites. Stryker is hard-hearted and angry all the time. He has closed himself off to everyone. Aribella has a heart that causes her to pass out if she gets over-stressed. Their interactions are amazing.

I enjoyed this one in the series. I can’t decide between the two in this series which I like more, but this will be on my reread shelf.

Till the next book!

I really liked how the article shared your review of Cranky Lord Meets Lovely Killer Princess and the way you explained Aribella and Stryker’s different personalities made the story feel alive in your words. When I had to write about characters with big feelings last semester I even used online course takers once so I could compare how others described character growth and pacing in my notes, and it really helped me think clearer. It made me see that talking about how characters change can make a book review so much more interesting and useful for other readers.
